‘Birdsong’ is an ongoing body of work that draws on the complexities of what it means to belong. As a child who grew up in-between different cultures, the work recalls a longing to be rooted. This longing is echoed through the tenuous relationship created between an image and its maker and consequently, its maker to her audience.
