The baskets are hand woven in Zambia in the town of Choma, a small market town that is well known for basket weaving. Traditionally used for storing and winnowing grain, they are tightly woven from Ilala Palm and naturally dyed always featuring high contrast patterns with a sturdy base. Each pattern is different, no two are alike. Measures approx 54cm wide x 15cm high.
