Fang is a personal visual exploration of the power of place in rousing trauma, stemming from the artist’s experience of being trapped in Catarroja, Valencia, during the DANA floods of October 29, 2024. Surrounded by violent waters on a small mound in a field with no help in sight, she mentally mapped countless escape routes – each ultimately impossible to take.
