The Mediterranean Motorway, or AP-7, is the main route that connects all road traffic along Spain’s Mediterranean coast, stretching from Algeciras to France. Its first section, inaugurated in 1969, was widely featured in Francoist development propaganda as a symbol of progress and the starting point of Spanish consumer society.
