An antique Nupe stool from Nigeria, circa 1950's. This beautifully crafted Nupe Stool is made by the Nupe people of Nigeria. The Nupe people are highly regarded for their abstract stools, characterised by multiple legs and fine geometric carvings on top. Carved from a single block of wood, this stool features 8 legs and an intricate geometric pattern on the top with charming overall patina. This stools shows signs of use, imperfections are part of its age and character. Nupe Stool 003 measures 39cm and 26cm tall.
