Rectangular tin plate box handmade in Tokyo, Japan. Tin plate 95 x 65 x 50H mm These boxes are made using a traditional technique used for centuries in Japan for making metal tea canisters. No rust-proofing is done, and they are intended to age gracefully over time. The tin has a hand sanded finish. .The brass and copper will oxidise over time with touch and wear, getting a beautiful patina of age and use.
