My mother was a competitive flower arranger, among other things. Our house smelled of flowers because there was usually a bucket of them in the kitchen sink. Recently I’ve been thinking about what flowers must look like to bees and other pollinators. To see colours we can’t see, to climb inside these technicolor caverns covered in magic dust.
