Camiel Fortgens has built his label around "perfectly imperfect" versions of the clothes we wear every day, and the Wobbly Jeans bring that idea to the most familiar garment of all. They're cut baggy, with a wide leg and a dropped crotch, but the real story is the side seams, which wobble and twist their way round to the front. The round front pockets leave their lining on show, the contrast topstitching wanders off line, and the hems are finished with deliberately uneven seams. Everything else follows the classic jean: a zip fly with a black horn button, a coin pocket, belt loops and two patch pockets at the back. The Amsterdam label works through quick prototyping and trial and error, and these jeans show it. They look a little off on purpose, and they're all the better for it.
