The cheese knife is inspired by Opinel's traditional pocket knife and is accompanied by the fork which makes cutting and serving easier. The knife interlocks with the fork for an original and practical display on the platter, board or plate. Blade and fork: Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge. Handle: Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles.
